Cyberbully on Channel 4

It’s unusual that i have ever seen a bit of television with just one actress but Maisie Williams was brilliant. This one off show really hit home and is a real thinker.

Maisie’s character is just another teenage girl with her laptop and an internet connection. Using modern trends like Facebook, twitter and instergram, what appears to be innocent starts a chain reaction that starts the cyber bullies.

I felt that the range of emotions and content kept me hooked and you really feel for the character.

Now i will really need to think before i post comments in the future. I really recommend this to watch.

Where did she go?

I met a girl online on a game chat room, she came to England twice and I went to her country once. I thought we were friends, had a little something, but recently I don’t see her on facebook. Has she deleted me as a friend or herself off of facebook? I emailed and sent messages on skype, I still don’t understand what I had done to not get a reply. It’s not like she really ever talked to me properly or had much of a conversation.

But why? Why am I so mystified, I can’t explain or understand why, instead I shall just leave a song.

The Librarians on SyFy, can it really survive?

It could of been good, but no, it can’t be, a decent idea screwed over by terrible, un-plausible writing. The direction is all over the place. The director of this disaster is Dean Devlin or should I blame the creator John Rodgers? Whoever it is down too for such bad stories should be shot! I have managed to watch four episodes, but no more thank you.

If there are viewers out there that like the show? Then shoot me instead! I am sure people want to escape the reality of everyday life, but this show isn’t escapism, it isn’t grounded in any true reality and that fails The Librarians on so many levels. All the good acting, star quality can not save a show if you can’t write a decent storyline.

Even the trailer sucks. I really can’t see the show surviving past season one.

XIII season 2 sucks

I am wondering how i managed to watch the second season, i am currently upto episode 8 and it really is a waste of time! The first season was good, but the acting at times by the supporting casts is terrible. The president of the US and the president to be, so much dodgy to bad acting.

I can’t take it anymore…

Dam i am cold!

Probably because my combi-boiler isn’t working! I got home from work on Wednesday and the dam thing was flashing red and blue like a police car. Called British Gas for help and they said someone would be over to me between 12 and 6pm. More like closer to six! The engineer was here nearly two hours, didn’t manage to fix it! He did order parts know. Now i need to wait it out…

Has Doctor Who lost the plot?

Have you watched the latest Doctor Who? Did you even understand what was going on? The plot was so thin and poorly delivered no amount of acting, scenes, settings can help if you don’t have a story to deliver. The only real good thing was the music, it did add to the show. But that still doesn’t save this episode. It took so long to get going and then… well nothing really happened.

For heavens sake BBC. get some decent writers!

Badge of Fury DVD Review

The film starts off with three deaths in a comical fashion which really wasn’t that funny where all the victims are smiling. The first thing that came to mind is the similarity with Batman, death by smiling! There seemed to be an incoherent start to the movie and an over use of comedy that really made it unfunny.

The next moment seemed to be a Matrix style battle which really wasn’t that well choreographed. Followed by a homage to Men in Black, during this scene they mentioned copyright infringement and a few Jet Li titles.

By this point the movie felt like a mismatch of ideas, but after that, the plot did get better and one or two of the sequences were not that bad. There seemed to be a lot of elements using concepts straight out of Stephen Chow’s play-book and they really didn’t implement them that well.

There didn’t seem to be much strength in the acting from anybody in this film. Nobody stood out and other than the girls being very fit! There seemed a very lack of effort with the whole flick.

There were no extras on the DVD, although it’s for sale in Tesco for only £3.00 I wouldn’t bother getting it!

Sharknado Review

I saw the film advertised on the SyFy channel recently and was amazed at how stupid it was, some really dodgy acting, some terrible CGI at times. And what is more baffling is how it’s suddenly raining, then suddenly dry. How one minute the same road that is flooded doesn’t have a single drop of rain on it, then reverts back to being flooded! O, and why they are trying to escape Los Angeles they have time to rescue a whole school bus of kids, who are raised to a bridge, vanish on the bridge and reappear only to disappear again!

These guys then made a load of bombs in what seems in no time at all, take a light weight helicopter next to a tornado which in all truth should of torn the dam copter to shreds. Then one of the girls get eaten by a shark only to come back to life after being pulled from it’s belly!

This has to go straight into my number one slot of the most incoherent film I’ve ever seen. With some poor dialogue, really bad puns and a heavy load of under acting this makes for an unemotional wreck. I am amazed they made a second one, which I shall probably watch also.
