Another season has arrived on Netflix taking the show to the next level. Having binged watched the lot, I didn’t feel the intercity of the previous two seasons. At times the show felt stupid and irksome.
I liked seeing the back story for the John Kreese character, and felt Martin Kove although corny and crass does justice to the role. From a lost love to torn morals in the Vietnam War.
Although choppy and the feeling the storyline had been rushed out we have fight scenes and incidents where most of the characters would really be behind bars. Reality feels like it has come crashing down. Clearly not on par with the previous two seasons and a mash of talent had been ill used.
Saying that there is a lot of enjoyment value, some beautiful scenes when Daniel visits Japan and another beautiful location when he goes fishing with his daughter. Then we are back to smashing up homes, which doesn’t make sense to me.
The inserting of Elisabeth Shue who played Eli added good value and comedy, however I couldn’t shake the fact I saw her brains that got lasered in the show The Boys which was still fresh in my head!
We are setup for a another tournament in season four, at first I thought it would be a Mexican standoff, however we have bridges built. There are issues to resolve there with father and son. Guess we have to wait and see.
