Slightly dislocated shoulder

For the past month I’ve had a slight problem with my shoulder. Pushing up off a chair sent a sharp pain through it, and extending it in reverse, like when I put on a jacket.

I had no idea I had dislocated it, this explains a lot. And partly when sometimes I am miss typing on texts and such. I see sometimes my miss types, other times, I don’t even notice! The strange one is forgetting to put a question mark on the end of a sentence. strange how the dislocation affects my right hand. Doesn’t help having carpal tunnel either.

Simply pushing myself back up from a chair is the worse. I need to wait a week before I can get it reset. Then I will need a little physio.

Wish me luck!

Following some streamers and my ascent in madness

For a long time, I’ve always been interested in the travel vlogger and often watch video’s on YouTube. But about two weeks ago after seeing an account on Twitter for one vlogger I noticed a Discord chat room. I’ve used Discord before for gaming chat, but I really had no idea what to expect.

So, I wanted to support this one girl streamer who was kind of cute and did some travel vlogging. She really isn’t very big in this scene, but there was something natural about her. So, I ended up in this chat room. At first, I thought this is okay, but there seemed to be this somewhat toxic immature community there.

After a few days I got hooked trying to communicate with this new chat room community. However, I descended into what can only be described as mental darkness. Their ignorance of the world, not knowing how one should treat a fellow human. There are somethings I like to avoid, as having lost family, friends to suicide. I don’t think these people understood it’s not a subject to joke around about. The immaturity where some users took some of your picture posts and re-edit them to their own needs to annoy you…

I was truly lost here, so at first, I blocked two users because I didn’t want to hear it, but by the third time, I had a feeling the first user I blocked had come back with a duplicate account to agitate me again. The fourth and final time I was driven, this time a user takes my picture of horses and decides to zoom right in on the animal’s rectum to repost it.

I really couldn’t stand that so I departed the chatroom after two weeks. The girl who built this community who was the main streamer seems nice, but I tried to chat to her. Only for the cute bubbly girl to cold shoulder me.

The other aspect is, I really didn’t know anything about twitch.tv as I have never used it. But now, I started to try it out some evenings. I am not really into watching the gamers, but those users who are travelling, I find really interesting. There was one Korean girl who following my football club of Tottenham was also streaming. It was interesting watching her break emotionally as Spurs lost yet another game. I can reflect on that because I am also emotionally scarred by the terrible football that Tottenham have played.

I feel I need to watch these in limited amounts, but I got an idea of how some people get addicted to these things. I also found out that one travel blogger, working out her numbers, she must be earning over £140,000 a year before taxes. But all that travelling must have serious overheads. And I don’t think she is a top streamer; the top people must be making a fortune. In the end, where I thought I might be able to find some new digital friends just felt like a nightmare. In order to keep my sanity, I really need to be careful in this digital world. I could also see how it can drain one’s income or make someone a millionaire. A new world is out there for those that know how to navigate, but I kind of have failed to navigate it properly.

Prince Charles Cinema threatened

I was very sad to learn of the threat to close this beloved cinema. Over the last few years I am very happy to go and see old classics, obscure films with those childhood memories thrown in.

But the landlord wants to do what? Increase the rent, destroy what so many have loved. This is a part of the beating heart of Soho in London.

So please help and sign the petition.

Waking up angry

I was slowing waking up at around 5:30am and start looking at my the news on my phone. People are rioting in my country and I ask why, because a young boy for some reason killed children in a senseless attack in Southport near Liverpool.

There really is no need for violence, but what makes it worse are these people who are dishonouring their grand parents and great grand parents and family who fort against against the nazi’s in WW2. We fort for our right to live, for our peace and our liberty.

These values are why we have an influx of people to the UK, because they generally come from a lot worse place. A place where the simple freedoms we have and fort for don’t exist. Where other countries have failing economies Britain has always been stable. We welcome hard working people. Those that can help contribute and build a better future.

Those that come, who don’t follow the rules and commit crime. I would gladly send back. But if you can adapt, listen and learn. Then welcome.

But for those native people of Britain who feel its your duty to cause mayhem. Have you even considered the damage you’re doing. Weakening the fabric of a local area, weakening its economic value. This affects the value of homes and businesses in these areas you attack. Causing the tax payer money to be diverted into policing you.. the tax payer! Your own taxes into policing yourself. Unless you’re one of those unemployed people who are on benefits, because you’re too lazy to go out and work. Angry at the system you haven’t been taught to navigate. So are out on a rampage! WAKE UP! Look in the mirror. Please remember what we should really be fighting for and against. Not this madness of unneeded mayhem.

It’s not just Britain that has this problem, I see right wing elements in Europe and America too. We as a world fort against this over 80 years ago it’s time to be less fragmented and unify against these ideals.

The Cenotaph

British and South Korean flags together.

I’d thought I go and check out the Cenotaph in London before they took away the wreaths and pay my respects. At the same time I had planned to visit the Household Cavalry Museum, however that was closed due to the state visit from the South Korean president and his wife. This isn’t the first time a state visit has interrupted my plans either and probably not the last!!

Operating hours are a myth!

I went to see a film and got back home before 10pm so… there are five takeaways right next to were I live it’s 15 minutes to 10pm and they all say they close at 10pm all but the Chinese take away were closing up and cleaning! I feel the Chinese takeaway is rubbish which looks filthy and unkept.

Ugh!

Now back home I found a pot noodle I didn’t know I had, poured myself a glass of red wine at home! So much for those take away operating hours!

Ancient Apocalypse review

Recently added to Netflix this show takes around the globe to analyse events in history and connect them together. However, this is deep history and that has problems. It’s very hard to analyse these events and carbon dating isn’t quite as accurate as a lot of TV makes out.

Graham Hancock points out his Wikipedia page straight away at the beginning, it really seems to be a dig at the website. It’s not Wikipedia, it’s the more grounded historical societies and historians which are calling him a fruit.

Hancock is running around half-cocked! He takes us to nice interesting places to explore and shows up some interesting historical sites. But that appears to be where it ends. It’s then all guess work with flashy computer animation. There is nothing scientific about this program, I might as well have watched Ancient Aliens and have the same problems. Half-cocked mumbo-jumbo!

Hancock seems to push his apocalypse theorem at over 10,000 years ago and talks about an ancient civilisation, but nothing is confirmed. In truth, it’s very hard to piece together the ancient world at this level, as part of what he said is right, there were lots of earth-shattering moments which destroyed the world, but there are multiple times this has happened. Volcanoes, earthquakes at different periods in different areas of the planet have this effect also. But he hasn’t addressed these other problems that can cause these disasters. Hancock seems to stick to one large event and doesn’t appear to look at the picture the same as others. This view is fracturing and I can understand why there is so much scepticism.

I give him credit for trying to establish a theory, but this is just his theory. It’s so much easier to focus on a singular issue. But overall, this is too grandiose and that throws a lot of people off, including me.

Time to switch anti-virus software.

I had used the free version of Sophos Home for my anti-virus protection on my Mac Book for a long time now. However, I was having problems with the software for the last few months. The Sophos icon on the top bar which is normally white was red, so I tried a few different things to try to fix it. Then I went to uninstall to reinstall, aww bugger. It won’t reinstall properly.

It started to say, create an account, but I already had an account. Onto customer services, they wouldn’t help. They were slow to respond, I felt impatient and was starting to get cranky! Instead of checking the server for my account or sorting out the server-side issue which appeared to be the case. It just felt like customer discrimination between those that pay and those that don’t. Some guy called Rashmi kept saying he couldn’t help me. This was going downhill fast. So, I removed Sophos altogether and installed Avast. Let’s see how we get on with this one.

Dealing with E.on Next

I moved into my new home August last year and I transferred over British Gas from my previous address to my new address. Not everyone likes British Gas, but I like them and their pricing is far more stable and less messy than other companies.

The previous people had signed up to the company E.on Next for their gas and electric and dealing with them! What a pain!

My home hardly used any gas or electric and they wanted to way over charge. They had estimated that I would use over 450 units of electricity in 29 days? I still having used that much yet and I’ve been living in the property for over seven months now.

Phone call after phone call, asking for a simple thing, send me a bill with the breakdown in the post. You know, this company took five months to get that done. I knew something was wrong with the original bill that had no breakdown. They would send letters out, pay this amount now. And on a lot of those letters, they didn’t even tell you how to pay! Weirdness! When I finally got the right bill, I saw the estimated reading they had done, way off!

I also phoned up Ofgem the regulator for help. On the phone again for over an hour, I explained to them what was going on, the overcharging, etc and they put me through to some woman at E.on Next and I was talking to them again.

It took seven months for a company to work out there were over charging me by £200 and this was based from British Gas readings. E.on Next went as far to employed another company pastdue credit solutions to try and steal my money. Even know I had paid the more correct amount and they said they would tell this credit solutions company, they in fact didn’t. Leaving this other company trying contact me. I had to block the number of them on my mobile because it really was turning into harassment.

To date, this has to be the worse company I have ever dealt with in my life.
